This Privacy Policy is intended to help you better understand how we collect, use and store your personal information when you browse our public website —whether you are a startup company, investor, or advisor.
For data protection purposes, angelPRO Limited (trading as VenturePro, with UK registered company number 6892477) is the data controller when we act as a controller in relation to your personal data. angelPRO Limited is registered as a data controller with the UK’s Information Commissioner's Office with registration number: ZA119275. Please note that if you are a registered user of the VenturePro platform, one or more additional privacy policies will apply to your use of our services after logging in to our web application.

VenturePro uses infrastructure from Hetzner Online GmbH ("Hetzner").
VenturePro is a sophisticated web application designed to be used by UK private companies, their investors and their advisors. We are a B2B company that does not provide services to consumers. The data we collect through our public website at www.venturepro.co.uk falls into two categories: (i) analytics data, and (ii) registration data.
We use Google Analytics to track and report on our public website traffic, which is the most widely used web analytics service on the Internet. When you visit www.venturepro.co.uk or use an interface which interacts with it, we collect your IP address, location information (including the location of your Internet Service Provider), the type and version of both the Internet browser and operating system that you are using, device information (nature of device and/or identifiers), log information, and the website from which you came to our website (i.e. the site you visited before arriving). We also collect information regarding your site usage, such as the time spent on a page and the number of pages you viewed. We also use Google Ads to raise awareness of the services we provide through online advertising but we have never and will never post adverts for third party products or services on our own website at www.venturepro.co.uk.
The registration data we collect is entered by potential users of our services, who proactively choose to complete one of the three registration forms available at www.venturepro.co.uk. We have designed each of these forms carefully to minimise the amount of personal data that must be entered: for all three types of registration an email address must be provided (with an optional extra being the phone number) and for an advisor registration no other personal data is captured; for an investor registration the only additional personal data required is a contact name, but for a company registration in addition to the name we also require that contact person’s job title as well – no other personal data is collected through our registration process. This registration data is stored electronically for up to 10 years in VenturePro’s database, which is hosted and secured by Hetzner (see section 2 ‘Platform Provider’ above), in order to help us to provide services to you at any point in future (and if we do provide services to you this data may be stored for 10 years from the date we cease to provide services to you). However, if you have registered on our website but either have never used or have stopped using our services, you can delete your registration data from our database hosted by Hetzner at any time by emailing us at the address shown in section 17 (“Contact Us”) of our terms and conditions. In addition, at the time the registration is completed by the website user clicking on ‘Register’, two automated emails are generated as follows: the first email containing all of the registration data is sent exclusively to VenturePro’s Director (who is also registered with the UK’s Information Commissioner's Office as angelPRO Limited’s main contact for data protection purposes), with a second email containing only the registrant’s email address being sent to both VenturePro’s Director and also our CTO. In line with our email partner’s “tamper-proof data retention policy” a read-only copy of every such email is held securely for the long term in an administrative account that is only accessible by VenturePro’s Director, and this data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) by our email partner – but always in compliance with relevant guidance by regulatory bodies to ensure our current email partner (and any future partner) always processes any personal data relating to you in accordance with relevant data privacy laws. This email retention policy applies to all emails received by VenturePro’s Director which includes any emails sent to the email address shown in section 17 of our terms and conditions. If you do not consent to your registration data being processed in this way please do not register on our website, and please do not email us at all – instead please write to us at our registered office address shown in section 3 (“Information About Us”) of our terms and conditions.
For the avoidance of doubt, we will never sell personal data relating to you, to any third parties. We use the personal data you provide through our registration forms (see section 3 “VenturePro’s Business Purpose and the Information We Collect” above) exclusively for the purpose of discussing and/or delivering our services to you, but please note we do sometimes combine this data with other information collected from publicly available sources including but not limited to Companies House and LinkedIn. Any such combined data is stored securely on an encrypted computer under the exclusive control of VenturePro’s Director who does not share this data with anyone else, and who uses this combined data exclusively for the purpose of discussing and/or delivering our services to you. Following your registration on our website, we will usually follow up with a direct email from VenturePro’s Director to the email address entered into the registration form by you, to agree next steps in relation to your registration; if you do not wish to be contacted in this way please do not register on our site. In contrast, the analytics data we collect is not used by us to contact you in any way; it is used exclusively to enable us to optimise our website and associated internet presence.
VenturePro takes the security of your data very seriously, as evidenced by our choice of platform provider (see section 3 above); in addition, our website at www.venturepro.co.uk is secured using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology. We believe physical security is also very important therefore we ensure that personally identifiable information relating to actual and potential users of our services is held on as few computers as possible, and at the present time it is only held on one physical laptop computer that is ever taken off-site (i.e. away from the secured location of the company’s registered office). The internet, however, cannot generally be considered a secure medium of communication and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of any information you enter on our website, or indeed any data you send to us over the internet including but not limited to email.
Our website contains links to sites owned and operated by third parties which do not fall under this privacy policy. Please review each third party website’s own privacy policy before visiting or browsing those sites. VenturePro does not accept any responsibility or liability whatsoever for the privacy policies of such third party websites, and your use of such websites is entirely at your own risk.
We intend to update this privacy policy from time to time, so please check back here regularly for the most up-to-date version. Your continued use of our site will mean that you accept any revisions included in the most up-to-date version of this policy.
